Refund Policy

Gun City + Fishing Napier will endeavour to ensure goods and services meet all guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act. As such, we will always endeavour to ensure products are:

Of acceptable quality
Fit for their particular purpose
Matching the description or demonstration model

If goods are faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a suitable remedy.

Please choose carefully, as we are not required to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a purchase.

Easy Returns & Exchanges

Gun City + Fishing Napier has a strict 7-day returns policy from the date you receive your item.

We want to make supporting our store as user-friendly as possible and give you confidence when purchasing online.

If your purchased item is not suitable or does not fit its intended purpose properly, we are happy to provide a refund for eligible full-price items.

Excludes all discounted, reduced, clearance, promotional or sale items.

Sale & Discount Promotions

Items purchased at a discounted price, whether through a markdown or discount code, are considered final sale and cannot be returned or refunded.

Full Price Purchases

At your written request, approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method used for purchase.

Any discounted items returned to us without approval will not be processed and must be collected or returned at the purchaser’s expense.

Return Instructions

To request a return or exchange:

Email customer services at fishing@guncity.com within 48 hours of receiving your parcel and wait for confirmation before returning your item.
Place the item securely in its original packaging or another waterproof and protective parcel.
Return the item using a tracked and insured courier service where possible. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs and the safe return of goods.
Returns will only be processed once received and inspected to ensure they are in original condition with all tags and packaging intact.
Return the package to the original store location once instructions have been provided by our team.
Please allow 1–2 business days for processing once your return has been delivered. Refunds may take an additional 1–5 business days to appear depending on your payment provider.

Important Information

All exchanges are subject to stock availability.
Gun City + Fishing Napier may, but is not obliged to, accept the return of products that were ordered and correctly supplied.
If a product arrives incorrectly supplied, damaged, or defective due to courier or transport, you must notify us in writing within 48 hours of receiving your order and include your invoice number.
We will continue to meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act for products found to be faulty outside this timeframe.
Clothing must be unworn, unmarked, and returned with original tags and packaging attached.
Product packaging must remain in original sellable condition.
Returns received damaged, worn, missing tags, or without original packaging may be declined.
Returns that do not meet these conditions will be sent back to the customer and will not be processed.

Pre-Order Items

Please note that all pre-order or arriving soon items cannot be cancelled once the order has been placed.

Pre-order items are not eligible for refunds, however a store credit or size exchange may be requested once the item has been received.

Privacy Policy

Gun City + Fishing Napier’s customer privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, protect and share your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 and New Zealand privacy legislation.

The privacy of your personal information is important to us. We will not provide your information to third parties except:

To comply with legislative obligations
Where third parties assist us with services, delivery or support on our behalf
To any person authorised by you to receive it

Warranty

All products purchased from Gun City + Fishing Napier are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Please refer to the individual manufacturer warranty documentation where applicable.

Warranty service will only be provided for products originally supplied by Gun City + Fishing Napier.

No warranty is expressed or implied as to the suitability or fitness of products for any particular purpose beyond obligations required under New Zealand consumer law.

Gun City + Fishing Napier will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use or possession of supplied products except where required under applicable legislation.

Pricing & Stock Availability

All prices listed are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

Online pricing may differ from in-store pricing and may change without notice.

Gun City + Fishing Napier endeavours to maintain accurate stock levels at all times; however, all products remain subject to availability.

If an item ordered is unavailable, customers may choose to:

Select an alternative product
Cancel the order and receive a full refund

Confirming Prices

Items added to your shopping cart reflect the latest displayed pricing at the time but do not reserve that price.

Discounts and promotional pricing may change without notice and are subject to availability.

In the event of pricing errors, Gun City + Fishing Napier reserves the right to:

Contact you for further instructions before dispatch, or
Cancel the order and issue a full refund if necessary

Shipping Policy

Orders are shipped Monday to Friday. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Please note that overnight courier services are not available.
Please also note that Chilly bins & Coolers, and other large items will be explicitly listed as Pick Up Only.
